The Safety Town Kids Learn a Lot of Rules Before Starting
School

A person who walks is a PEDESTRIAN, so a pedestrian is a PERSON WHO WALKS.

A crosswalk is
TWO WHITE LINES painted on the street and is the safest place to
cross the street.  If there is no crosswalk the best place to cross the street is at the
CORNER.  Crosswalks do not stop cars.  Always cross at the crosswalk or the
CORNER, never in the middle of the block or from between parked cars.

Before you cross the street you need to check with your
MOM, DAD or
BABYSITTER
.  If mom says no, you’d better not go, but if OK,  you look FOUR
WAYS.  LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, SHOULDER.
When you look over your should you are
looking
BEHIND YOU.
